My Aggie Story | A&M Senior Pictures

March 19, 2018

A Nashville, TX Senior Session

Many of you know that I am also a graduating senior this year! I’ll be graduating in May with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University – Whoop!! I have absolutely loved my time at A&M. I’m a tour guide on campus and people are always asking me what made me choose A&M for college. Unlike many of my peers, I have no family connection to Aggieland. I’m the first person in my family to come here (but definitely not the last!). I visited A&M 3 times before making my final decision and what it came down to was A&M’s unique culture. When I went on my tour, everyone was overwhelmingly friendly to me. After becoming a student, I’ve seen that attitude affect me and make me a better person myself!

As silly as it may sound, I truly believe that Texas A&M has changed my life. It was here that I discovered what it truly means to be a Christian and I committed to living that out. I found a church home and a community that has become my family in College Station. It was here that I discovered my career path (as complicated a process as that discovery was). With the help of mentors, I decided to continue my education right here in College Station for an additional year to complete my Masters in Finance. And finally, it was here that I met the love of my life who I married just before my senior year! If you had told me as a senior in high school that I would be married before I graduated college I would have laughed. The life I thought I wanted included me pursuing my personal goals and getting married way on down the road. God had other plans and I am so glad He did because I now get to chase my dreams alongside my best friend.

My time at A&M has meant so much to me. I’ve gained way more than just an education and I’m proud to be an Aggie. From the outside looking in you can’t understand it, and from the inside looking out you can’t explain it. As hard as I try, I can’t put into words exactly what makes this place so special, but I know it is.

Last week Seth and I went to Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee for a spring break trip. As tour guides, we love visiting colleges so we stopped by Vanderbilt and Belmont in Nashville to do a little touring of our own. On the trip, Seth was trying to learn photography so he took a ton of pictures of me at both of these colleges! Almost on accident he became the photographer for my senior pictures. I think he picked it up very quickly and did an excellent job with them. I hope you enjoy my own personal senior pictures!
