Chad + Candace | College Station Couple

In honor of Valentines Day this week I wanted to share my first blog of a sweet couple!! I love photographing couples –  especially those that are as joyful as Chad and Candace Nelson! This was their first Christmas as a married couple and when they asked me to take their Christmas card pictures I was thrilled.

My husband, Seth, and I met Chad and Candace through a small group at our Church for newly married couples! There are 5 couples and we have all been married for less than a year. We spend time together each week discussing topics related to marriage. Right now we are reading The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller. For all the engaged/married couples out there – you must read this book! I read it the summer before Seth and I got married and even reading it again less than a year later is so helpful. We love our small group and the time we get to spend in community learning from one another and growing closer to our spouses, each other, and our God!

We have had so much fun getting to know Chad and Candace and in doing so we have found that we enjoy a lot of the same things! Like us, they love to travel, value education (Candace is working on a Master’s and Chad on a PhD), and are passionate about their faith! They always keep it real at our small group and we’ve learned so much from them.

We went to the beautiful research park for this shoot and their pictures turned out beautifully! The fall colors are just amazing and the weather was perfect. I hope you enjoy the Nelson’s Christmas photos as much as I do!!
